Dino in Japan, part I [Sep. 21st, 2004|09:08 pm]
Mr Dave Awesome

[mood |prehistoric]

Apologies for the brightness of some of these - I hadn:t figured out how to use the flash yet!

When Dave arrived he was a little tired from his lengthy journey. Apparently the conditions en route were somewhat cramped. I ensured he relaxed with a nice cup of green tea.

After a good night:s sleep it was time for Mr Dave to accompany me to work. First he was introduced to my colleagues:

and Harry and Draco

It wasn:t all fun though - he had to learn too...

The students loved him though

On the weekend we went shopping downtown

And then went to the lovely kenrokuen park

Watch this space for Mr Dave:s continuing adventures!

Great pix - I'm glad Dave had fun. Hope he wasn't too stressful a houseguest (was it him that spilt the juice into your laptop?)

padzor's friend lives in New Zealand, and he has promised to take Mr Dave to Mt Doom!

It:s your call. SHall I hang onto him and take a few more pics in interesting places and take him to see sumo on Saturday/ play football in Nagano a week later, or shall I send him on. I warn you that both these events will involve significant alcohol consumption and you know what dinosaurs are like when they:ve had a few.

If you send me the address I can send him to NZ.

Bellish, your desk looks exactly like mine!

Forget Mt Doom, up here in Aomori we have Mt Fear (Osoresan), complete with blackened volcanic landscape and chanting mediums.

Hehehe. I never understood when people said "put it under your desk" until I saw that they all have that thick sheet of plastic on them. Useful though!

Mt Fear sounds fun. I guess it would make a lot of sense to send him domestically first....?

Cool! He can crash at apricorn's first, and then on to NZ. Let me know when you need the postal address. The lovely NZ host is called Andreas. I know he's lovely because nearly all of padzor's friends are. And because he invited a dinosaur to stay with him.
